Luxury Apartments: A New Take

True story. Every renter knows that all apartments are advertised as "luxury apartments," regardless of location, amenities and condition.

Today, I was riding through Hell's Kitchen, formerly a gang-infested slum and still looking a lot like a slum despite the yuppie restaurants, and saw this sign:

"Terrific Tenements."

I keep telling Cindy my dream is to retire to a dusty trailer in the desert with a small beer fridge, large beer-gut, and a black-and-white television that picks up "Dukes of Hazard" re-runs.

For some reason she doesn't believe me (or share the dream - not even with the his-and-hers grey track pants).

But this "Terrific Tenements" thing has interesting urban possibilities. Tell me more.

Cheers,
George
:)

BTW - the word verification phrase I had to use to submit this comment was "moofa". What IS that? :)
